I have the opportunity to interact with successful and not successful Business Analyst position applicants. Both the category of individuals face one common
challenge that is how to get their CV shortlisted for the interview. Believe me if you are getting shortlisted for IT Business Analyst positions consistently, even if you know little, you stand a near 100 % chance to get selected. I will tell you why .
1) BA interview questions are repetitive in nature so by the time you give your 3rd and 4th interview, the questions will repeat themselves

Smart Tip 1 : Your experience and skills shall have the same words as asked by the recruiter in his job description.
Frankly speaking this is at best smart common sense. Today there can be more than 100 applicants for a given Business Analyst position. Recruiters also search potential hires out of a database. How do the do that ? They simply undertake, what we call as keyword search. If you resume has keywords (typically skills, software, technique) which recruiters are on a look out for it will get into preliminary screening. So just visit as many business analyst job descriptions as you can on popular job portals and identify the right keywords and place them with tact and thought on your resume.
Smart Tip 2: Your CV shall reflect your abilities in BA frameworks, techniques, methods and software
If it was the year 2000, we could have shortlisted you as a potential BA hire if you had a prestigious MBA degree or domain expertise. How ever this this the year 2016 now, so your CV will get shortlisted if you mention that you have abilities in BA frameworks like UML and BPMN, expertise in writing BRD, FRD and SRS etc. You should mention that you know how to use Business Analyst softwares like MS Visio, Balsamiq, Bizagi Business Process Modeler etc

So how to identify, the Business Analyst experience which you have mentioned in your CV is unique or not. You see, no one else should be able to copy your lines and paste it in his resume without being untruthful and/or incorrect.
Smart Tip 4; Your business analyst experience shall have impact
I often say that you get hired for your experience and get paid (quantum of salary) for your impact. So how shall we define impact. Say two persons develop a training program, one training is delivered to 100 participants, second training is delivered to 100,000 participants. Even if the two training programs are of same quality the person who has delivered the training program to 100,000 people will have a very different experience in terms of feedback received, how to handle volume etc. So try to demonstrate impact of your experience in terms of volume, scale, value, magnitude etc. With impact your resume will surely get noticed
